When we were introduced to this project, I was very excited. Music is a big part of my life, but I have never gotten into the creation aspect of it. As the project was further explained, we were told that it should not sound like traditional music. This was a surprise to me, but I was still excited. For this project I want to use some of my favorite songs as inspiration, but use that inspiration to create soundscape rather than a song. One of my favorite song sever is Svefn-g-englar by Sigur Rós. I think it is more soundscape than song and I would love to create a similar feeling to this. I want to use the software to alter the sound bites to create long and droning sounds. The feeling that I get when I listen to Svefn-g-englar is like being at the bottom of the ocean completely alone but in a peaceful way. I feel like I have a lot of good ideas coming into
this project, and I am excited to express my love for music and sound into it. Sometimes during creative projects, I have a hard time starting the project. I plan to come into the work day with a idea of a start already. I think this will help me get a good start in the project and let me focus more on the important details of the soundscape. In conclusion, I am very excited to put my heart into this project, and will arrive with a plan.
